Airport fuel supply infrastructure is one of the most safety-critical and regulated categories in the fuel industry. Every aircraft departure depends on an uninterrupted, contamination-free supply of aviation fuel at the correct specification. At the same time, aviation projects — new airstrip construction, temporary air bases, remote airfields, and airport expansion projects — frequently require fuel supply infrastructure that must be operational before permanent systems can be built.
Neftgen manufactures mobile fuel stations for airport and aviation applications, covering Jet A-1 (AVTUR), Avgas 100LL, and diesel for ground support equipment (GSE), in containerised systems that meet aviation fuel quality standards and can be commissioned within days of delivery.
Aviation Fuel System Applications
| Application | Fuel Type | System Configuration |
|---|---|---|
| Commercial airport interim supply | Jet A-1 | 20–40 m³, filter-separator, quality control |
| Remote / bush airstrip | Jet A-1, Avgas | 10–20 m³, self-contained, solar power option |
| Military air base | F-34 (AVTUR), F-75 | Multi-container modular system |
| Helicopter operations base | Jet A-1 | 10–20 m³, 1–2 dispensers, hose reel |
| GSE diesel supply | EN 590 diesel | 10–20 m³, standard configuration |
| Airport construction project | Diesel / multi-product | Construction-spec mobile station |
Aviation Fuel Quality Standards
Aviation fuel systems are subject to strict quality control requirements that do not apply to standard diesel dispensing. Neftgen aviation fuel stations incorporate the following quality protection measures:
- Filter-water separator (coalescer) — removes free water and particulate contamination from fuel prior to dispensing. Rated to EI 1581 standard for Jet A-1 systems.
- Clay or monitor vessel option — for Jet A-1 systems requiring additional surfactant removal protection
- Differential pressure gauges — indicating filter condition and requiring change-out when delta P exceeds limit
- Microfilter / dirt defence filter — final-stage protection at the dispenser hose outlet
- Bonding and earthing cables — static discharge protection during aircraft fuelling
- Sample points — upstream and downstream of filter-separator for quality verification sampling
- Fuel density meter option — for density verification at point of delivery

Remote and Temporary Airstrip Fuel Systems
Remote airstrips in mining regions, oil and gas fields, agricultural areas, and aid/humanitarian operations present particular challenges: no grid power, limited road access, and the need for reliable fuel supply for aircraft that cannot easily divert. Neftgen’s self-contained aviation fuel stations include:
- Solar-charged battery system for pump and instrument power (grid-independent operation)
- Diesel generator option for high-demand periods
- Satellite or GSM telemetry for remote level monitoring
- Helicopter or cargo aircraft delivery capability (under-slung load for 20 ft units)
